Sunday 25th June (7pm): Philip King Concert with his Canadian Choir in church (email briandollamore@gmail.com for more information and for tickets £5 each.

 

Friday 30th June: Max Craven lecture on ‘Lost Houses of Derbyshire’, 7.30pm in Church, preceded by a glass of wine. Tickets £5.00 (concert free to Friends, wine £2)

Saturday 30th September: Symposium ‘The Survival of Church Architecture’ led by Professor Janet Spencer. Tickets £20 each to include lunch at The Dower House. (email griseldakerr@btinernet.com for more info);

Saturday 14th October Jazz concert in the church, featuring the Dave Newton quartet with Alan Barnes on sax; this is a really top act – tickets at £10 each will be on sale through the Melbourne Festival outlets or to reserve now, email gordonhughes007 @btinternet.com

And do not forget that the Melbourne Festival (an initiative started by The Friends eleven years ago) will be held over the weekend of 16th / 17th September.

The AGM for the Friends, to which you are warmly invited, will be held at The Dower House, courtesy of William and Griselda Kerr, on Thursday 5th October at 7.30pm. It would be good to see you there.
